Minimum Stay Policy/Weekends

The Chateau weekend minimum stay requirements are as follows:

Winter Season:  Limited Availability for Saturday night only-January 1 – April 4, 2020 and
October 30 – December 26, 2020

Spring Season:  April 18 – May 30, 2020-2 night minimum

Summer Season:  June – 2 night minimum, July – 3 night minimum, August – 3 night minimum

Fall Season:  September 12- October 24, 2020-2 night minimum

Holidays/Special Events:

Memorial Day Weekend-3 night minimum

July 4th Weekend-4 night Minimum

Labor Day Weekend-3 night minimum

Columbus Day Weekend-2 night minimum


Cancellation Policy

We are a small property and last-minute cancellations affect us significantly. We therefore adhere to a strict cancellation policy. All room cancellations, re-schedules or amendments to a reservation must be received at least 10 days prior to guests arrival date. Should notification be received less then 10 days before arrival date, all deposit payments will be forfeited. We encourage our guest to consider the purchase of travelers insurance in the event of personal emergencies, weather conditions or flight changes. Please note all cancellations are subject to a $25 charge to cover merchant service fees and administrative costs. Reservations can not be canceled via email. All cancellations needs to be done through our reservations phone line 732-974-2000.

Booking/Deposit Policy

Reservations of two nights or less require a one-night room deposit inclusive of applicable state and local taxes. All other reservations require a 50% deposit inclusive of applicable state & local taxes. We charge this deposit at time of booking. All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card.

Occupancy Policy

Room rates are based on single/double occupancy. In our select rooms and suites that can accommodate more than 2 guests, an additional fee of $25 per room, per night will apply for each additional guest up to the maximum capacity of each room. We offer a family plan where there is no additional charge for the first two children 12 years old and under. Pack n’ Plays are available upon request with at least 24 notification at an additional $10 fee per night. Cots or roll always are not available due to insurance restrictions.

Check-in/ check-out policy

Check-in is anytime after 3:00 pm, and is available 24 hours a day. Early check-ins cannot be guaranteed but every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Check out is anytime before 11:00 am. Baggage storage available free of charge.

Parking Policy

The Chateau offers the largest on site parking lot of all Spring Lake Hotels, including two handicap spaces.  Additional overnight parking is available at the Spring Lake municipal lot four houses away (1/2 block) on the West side of Potter Park. Spring Lake does not permit overnight on-street parking (residents or visitors) between the hours of 3:00 am and 6:00 am.   All on site and off-site parking is free.

Smoking Policy

The Chateau is a non smoking hotel. smoking/vaping of any kind is prohibited in all of our guest rooms and can result in a minimum of a $250 cleaning fee.

Pet Policy

We apologize for any inconvenience, but pets are not permitted. We recommend Purr N’ Pooch for local pet care and lodging (732-528-8100). We understand that some guest require the assistance of a service animal. Under the ADA people with disabilities have the right to be accompanied by their service animals if they have been trained to perform disability related tasks the ADA does not cover “emotional support animals”. Guest with ADA compliant service animals must notify the Chateau at time of booking.

Damage and Loss Policy

A guest will be charged at or after departure for repairs required to return a guest room or suite to sale-able condition if damage occurs to the room or fixtures during a stay.
